All three of Manko’s manufacturing locations stock various types of annealed laminated glass to fit many building product needs. Manko’s laminated glass incorporates a plasticized polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer bonded between two pieces of annealed glass. Generally speaking, laminated glass with PVB interlayers is 75% to 100% as strong as annealed glass of the same thickness. However, when broken, the PVB interlayer provides support to help hold the glass in place, helping with fall-out and penetration protection. Beginning in the 4th quarter 2018, Manko will be producing its own laminated glass with its recent purchase and installation of a Glaston ProL Flat Glass Lamination Line. With this purchase, Manko will be able to provide custom laminated glass, either tempered or annealed.
